Akshay Kumar is one of the busiest actors of Bollywood who never ceases a chance to showcase his versatility. The actor is currently making headlines as he us all set to feature in Singham Again. Amid this, announcement of his new project with Karan Johar has come up. Akshay Kumar is all set to headline Barrister C Sankaran Nair’s biopic with Ananya Panday and R Madhavan and the release date is now out.

Today, on October 18, the official Instagram handle of Dharma Movies announced their upcoming film. In the post, they have shared a note highlighting film’s concept. The untitled-film is all set to release on 14th March 2025. It is based on the book, The Case That Shook The Empire – One Man’s Fight for the Truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. The aforementioned fight for justice is recorded as one of the longest running trials in history. The flick is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday also in lead roles.

A source close to the development, told Pinkvilla earlier, “C Sankaran Nair Biopic is a film close to the heart of Akshay Kumar and everyone at Dharma. It’s a story that deserves to be told on celluloid. The core plot of the film features Akshay Kumar taking down the Empire to finally recognize the horrors of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre being committed by the British in India. The post-production work is going on in full swing. And the makers are leaving no stone unturned to recreate India and London from the era gone by”.

On the work front, Akshay has several films in his kitty. He will be seen in Singham Again, Welcome 3, Jolly LLB 3 and Sky Force among others. While Ananya recently featured in Call Me Bae and CTRL.
